Presidency to Pay Protesting Falcons on Friday

Following a Wednesday morning protest by members of the female football national team at the National Assembly over non-payment of their allowances by the NFF, the presidency has promised to clear all allowances by Friday.
In what is a sharp contrast to how the Lionesses of Cameroon were treated, the Falcons who are reportedly entitled to  $25,000 each are yet to get paid and this has led to the team refusing to leave the hotel where they are lodged.

The players on hearing that the president will visit the National Assembly to present the estimates of the 2017 budget to lawmakers, took their protest there with placards reading , “We are your children, pity us”; “Let us respect women”; “female football deserves respect.” in a bid for get his attention and possibly put an end to their plight.
The girls, however, returned to their hotel after the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari, while addressing them promised to pay up what they are owed in two days.
