Aliko Dangote is Africa's Richest Man for the Seventh Straight Year

Nigerian Industralist, Aliko Dangote is the Richest Man in Africa. This is according to Forbes

The Dangote cement owner will be the Richest man on the continent for the seventh year in a role. The richest man in the world remain Bill Gates who is valued at $86bn, followed by Warren Buffet ($75.6bn) and Jeff Bezos ($72.8bn) respectively. 

Dangote is estimated to be worth $12.2bn, followed by South African Diamond mining heir Nicky Oppenheimer who has a net worth of $7.7bn. 

According to Forbes, there are 23 billionaire in Africa, with South Africa having the most (8), Egypt (6) while Nigeria has just 3 (Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga - $5.8bn, and Folorunsho Alakija - $1.6bn ). 

Zimbabwe also has its first billionaire on the list with Telecom magnate, Strive Masiyiwa, chairman of Econet group making the list

Only two of the 23 billionaires from Africa are women. Dos Santos, daughter of the Angolan President, who has an estimated net worth of $2.6bn is the other woman on the list,
