#BBNaija: Big Brother's Culture

By Seun Olaniyan
We are almost halfway to the Big Brother Naija and the intensity is at its full pace. Aneeka and Angel paved way just yesterday as a result of voters choice. It was expected that the most vulnerable duo to be evicted were Lolu and Ceecee due to their disciplinary issues, coupled with the fact that Ceecee is in the bad books of the audience.

Yesterday proved people wrong about their perception of the essence of the show, as beauty was
chosen over brains. Even though Angel had a considerable amount of cockiness in the house,he and
Aneeka were very much active in the participation of the house dealings.

It has been indicated that Lolu was the saviour of their duo as the smart and calm natured guys
charm made voters sentimental about voting Ceecee out. Big brothers house,Big brothers rules..but he has wielded his axe to cut down housemates stay because of their disciplinary issues, but Ceecee seems to have her goodluck charm working well for her, even though she has been disliked by most people due to her arrogance and rudeness as perceived by viewers.

Who is the next in line to be evicted? Who is the vulnerable scapegoat? What is the importance of
this show?....The Big brother naija is viewed far more than the live broadcast of the election, and it is
surprising how much youths, aged and even children keep their eyes glued to the television set with the intention to monitor the lifestyle of the housemates. But what is the moral essence of this show?is it another means to make money by the organisers?on what platform basis is the reason for the show?

Either ways, the show is currently the most watched reality show in Africa and the interest of fans
around the continent cannot be over emphasized.
