Two More Twitter Execs Leaving

SAN FRANCISCO — Two more Twitter executives flew the nest Tuesday.
Chief Technology Officer Adam Messenger and Josh McFarland, vice president of product, resigned, adding to a growing list of former execs at the micro-blogging service.
Messenger said he decided to leave and "take some time off" in a tweet.
McFarland plans to join venture-capital firm Greylock Ventures as a general partner next year.

Their departures come on the heels of several other upper-management exits, including former Twitter Chief Operating Officer Adam Bain last month.
"We've shown our strategy is having a direct and positive impact on our audience growth and engagement, and we're executing better and faster every day," Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO and co-founder, said in a statement on Messenger's resignation. "I'll be working even closer with our engineering and design teams to ensure we continue to be the fastest and best service to show what's happening in the world."

The executive exodus comes as Twitter's advertising and user growth slacken because of fierce competition from Facebook and Google.
