Social Media Reacts To Appointment Of David Moyes As New West Ham Manager

As we predicted yesterday, West Ham have announced the appointment of former Everton and Manchester United Manager David Moyes as their new manager.

The Scottish Manager who would be overseeing his 500 Premier league game as a manager has been given an initial six months contract  ending at the end of the current campaign.

Although, it was a badly kept secret, the reality of David Moyes in another Premier League job has been met with criticism from many observers and even pure anger by West Ham fans. As usual, many took to social media to vent their frustrations or incredulity.

Below are some of the pick.

Chicharito had a stormy relationship with David Moyes while the pair were at Manchester United and would probably not be looking forward to reuniting with his former boss.

Not all were criticism though. Former United and Everton player Phil Neiville thought it was a good appointment.

David Moyes was sacked by Manchester United after he failed to qualify for the Champions League and the team finished 7th. He was also sacked by Real Sociedad after he took them to the relegation zone and was let go by Sunderland after they were relegated with him at the helm.

Even ex-hammers were not left out as former striker called it uninspiring.

Is it fair on him and is the whole charade justified, only time will tell, but based on his last 3 appointments, it doesn't look like an inspired appointment.
